Convenient and clever: this cafe puts their customer's loyalty cards on display within the shop. Public exposure is a form of self-development (for customers) that makes this cafe more attractive to them than alternative places. This results in economic stability for the business and social resilience for the community due to higher levels of incidental contact (than if all our loyalty cards were in our wallet*).
Good town planning must involve attracting the innovative retailers who recognise the role of community in the sustainability of their businesses. Congratulations to the City of Joondalup and Moments Cafe.
*It's also innovative because keeping a loyalty card in our wallets can be a pain.
